Fifty-Two on Friday | Valleyview Alberta Photographer

Vintage.

How old does something have to be in order to be considered “vintage”?  I googled it…  and the answers were all different.  Some sites said 7 years, some said 25, and some said something completely different.

Whether it is 7 or 25 years, one thing is for certain… objects and items from my childhood are becoming vintage (and depending on who you ask…  they already are 😉 ).

And, I guess, I am vintage…  but I didn’t go for a self portrait this time.  Instead, my subject is something very special from my childhood.  This is a little dress I wore when I was about 7 months old.  It has been carefully kept and treasured all these years.  It has made it through many moves across the country.  And, when my daughter was 7 months old, she wore this dress too.  I have photos of me wearing it and her wearing it.  More treasured memories to go along with this vintage dress.

I took it out of my closet last night and decided to take another photo of her wearing it.  It’s a little bit too small to work as a dress now, but it works as a shirt.

Travel with me to visit the amazing and talented Jobrina Hofleit, Goodyear, Arizona Photographer, to see her interpretation of this week’s theme.
