Maide + Rocky Mountain Bride

I am so unbelievably proud of my friend and fellow photographer, Sarah Urbanczyk, as her stunning work graces the pages of the Spring & Summer 2020 issue of Rocky Mountain Bride. She rocked the shoot and I had front row seats to the entire thing while I assisted her. Dresses // Maide Photographer // Sarah...

Beginning to Bloom

We moved to Cochrane six years ago and with it came a new home with a garden that was a blank canvas. Over the years, I’ve been adding trees, shrubs, and flowers. When you start a garden from square one, it can be so fulfilling to see your plant babies take off! This beautiful peony...

Flora

I’ve been mulling over a topic for a body of work for over a year. It’s a part of a deeper study into mastering the craft of photography. Wanderlust | Cochrane Alberta Photographer

On the day that I took this photo, though, I soaked-in the right now, my surroundings, the fresh mountain air, and I was filled with gratitude.

Wanderlust | Cochrane Alberta Photographer

This piece of paradise is Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park and it’s one of my favourite places to set up camp. You can hike, explore, take in the views, or go for a paddle. It is peaceful and just what you need when you are craving some time in the great outdoors.

Wanderlust | Cochrane Alberta Photographer

One of the biggest lessons that I have learnt as a mother is to see with my eyes wide open. Really wide… so that you see your surroundings in all of its amazing glory.

The Right Time for Family Photos

You might have thought about, mulled over, and thrown around the idea of having a family photo session. You might have also thought… now is not the right time. You might have walked away from the idea of a photo session because the thought of figuring out the right outfits was overwhelming or maybe you just didn’t feel you were ready. Let me share something with you — it’s always the right time.
