Wanderlust | Cochrane Alberta Photographer

I recently celebrated another trip around the sun and to make the day special, I went to visit the Three Sisters — Faith, Charity, and Hope.

This place has been on my list of landscapes to capture for ages. I plan to go back again for a beautiful sunrise, but this was the icing on the cake for an awesome birthday.

There are so many places on the “shoot” list in my mind and it seems to grow everyday. Having lived in four provinces and moving 10 times (not including within town/city moves), I’ve always felt a bit nomadic with a serious case of wanderlust. I can’t wait to see what is around the next bend, what I’ll find down a trail, or what I’ll discover as the light changes and graces the landscape. On the day that I took this photo, though, I soaked-in the right now, my surroundings, the fresh mountain air, and I was filled with gratitude.

Gratitude, Canmore
